Client gifts are important to the circle of trust you create with your client. It's a short and long term representation of what you are about. The gift should be not only personal to you but also to your client. Ideally client gifts don't have to be cumbersome if you put a bit of forethought and commit a minimal amount of time to create your signature gifts. Once you have your signature gift you can build upon the signature gift with each client.
When I say your gift should be personal to you, it really should be a representation of your brand and what you stand for. If you are a Design Studio, your would reflect your expertise in design but also your organization business side. The gift should be personal and beautiful. Gifts don't have to be packed full of items, a gift can include one beautifully packed candle with your logo or it can include an array of items that reflect your brand and business.
If you are a sales executive, there's an old saying I'm sure you're familiar with, "You're only as good as your last sale," well that may be true, but why not keep that client for the next sale and the next one? Sometimes, after it's been a bit of time since you last spoke to your client, it's a bit awkward to contact your client out of the blue. Reaching out to them either during the various holidays or the New Year with a personal, thoughtful gift gives you an opportunity to continually communicate with your client. So when they are ready to strike, you are the person, the only person that comes to mind for them. Create that opportunity for yourself again and again, without begin intrusive but sending thoughtful, personal gifts of gratitude.
